I bring this issue up to see if there is a consensus. I have tried all three approaches in the past and have gotten nice acknowledgments at times and other times bad jesters. I just never know what the person’s preference is that I’m passing. I have...

It's not like the river's narrow overall except in the extreme upper part, but in some stretches it is so i'm just going to try to use better judgement. Now i'm talking about the north fork above the lake too & not down towards Burkesville.
Just to update. The trip was fun. We found the fish but unfortunately we only caught one striper but it was 22 lbs! We lost another that was really big in a tangled planer board mess. We picked up a bunch of large mouth and a cat.
We seriously...

Hey guys, long time no talk. Thought I'd share some fishing pics from the last few years, since I haven't been on here in a long time. Southern UT has been treating me good with a great mix of trout fly fishing and bass waters. Hope everyone is...
Hey man, it has been a minute! Yeah, we are still out in UT. Every once in awhile I get missing you guys and KY, so I jump on to see what's up. Hope to make it out there this summer with family to visit, maybe hit some of my old waters. Take care...
Yeah...on a river like the Cumberland, where there isn't much distance between your boat and those you are passing, idle down in advance, pass with as much room as possible and then fire back up on plane. Bigger waters, stay on plane but give plenty...

Do the Crappie move from the Brush Piles when the water cools down and move to creeks or do some of them stay around the Brush Piles? Thanks for Any Inf.
Thanks for sharing your video. I especially appreciated the details re retrieve of the silver buddy and your description of the banks, water depths of your casts.
Thanks again!
I only lost one this trip. One thing that I'll do if I'm hanging up is cut the front hook so it only has two points on it. I have several different lure retrievers as well and "generally" get them back. But not always. I also have a mold to make...
One creek..........I won't mention which one. Fished back a ways, no bites........Turned on side imaging and imaged back further. Actually further than I'd normally fish.
If you've ever taken Dave Stewart's classes, you know the last...
How many silver buddies did you lose :) And if you did not lose any, how did you get them back?
I have a plug knocker I call the DOG, and it gets anything back.........well usually.
I used to throw the silver buddy a whole lot, but...
Thanks much for the post. Very well done. I liked the video. I liked that you did not catch a bunch of fish lol. Makes it more realistic. I never catch a bunch at Dale but they are usually quality fish. I do not fish the blade much any more. I will...
