Fishing Friends,


What a nice week of fishing and catching we had as the weather and the fish cooperated all week on RC! We did have a couple of days that we had to burn a bit of gas to find the White Bass but at the end of every trip we had a nice box of fish and on a couple of days we got our limits!(See Pics) 🙂 Summertime doesn't yield the non-stop action that you have in the Spring and everyday seems to be a little different. Last week we had a couple of days of early morning top water action and the fish were super aggressive along the South Shoreline near Fisherman's Point Marina. Other days the top water action was on the 309 Flats and still on a couple of days we had no top water action at all! As the Summer progresses into what many call the "Dog Days of Summer", we'll have even more of the days where the fish really challenge you. However, if you hang in there, you'll usually find a school of fish that will reward you with a Fish Fry! 🙂


We continue to catch the White Bass on the Mepps MAL Spinners and small In-Line Spinners when the fish are on top and on Silver or Chartreuse Slabs with a Jig Teaser when the fish are down deep on Points & Humps. The Main Lake area has been where most of the School fish are being caught and we're making the trip up the Creeks to find our bottom feeding fish. The thermocline has set in so most of our fish being caught on Slabs are in 20' feet of water or less.


Adam and I are booked in July but we have lots of open Weekdays in August and even a couple of Saturdays with a boat open. It's none too early to reserve a Labor Day or September date either as Summer will be over before you know it! Give us a call and Let's Go Fishin'!
