It appears that the big gains we made in July with numbers and size slowed as we moved into August; there is a multitude of changes going on that we will have to adjust to before the fall bite. Persistence and patience and current are the key; stay focused and look for current and you will get your bites.


I have seen the deeper Tight-Line jig bite pick up also the tight-Line swim jig is a winner, and we are still focused on soft plastics especially if there is no wind. Missile bait “48” stick baits, D-Bombs and some big worms have worked for me. We can also see some improvement in the SPRO frog Bite along with the Picasso buzz bait under the right conditions!
