The beginning of the week hurricane and the end of the week cold spell changed the bite for me this past week; the fish moved and relocating didn’t come easy. We caught fish for sure, but activity seemed slow, and the fish moved off some areas they were holding in the previous week.


We really concentrated on the SPRO frog bite as there seems to be some of the earliest frog action I have seen in a few years. I believe the grass has more void spots allowing the bass to be more active on top than the past. We are still catching fish on Missile bait 48 stick baits and Tight-Line swim jigs and Picasso under-spin, but the fish were only concentrated in a few of my spots forcing us to move quickly through areas if there was no action.
