LAKE OCONEE IS FULL, 83 TO 87 DEGREES

Bass fishing is fair. The lake is full and clear over most of the lake. Carolina rigs with a 6 inch Zoom worm any color as long as there is some green in it. Drag them off of the humps on the south end of the lake. Large crank baits will also work in the same areas. Some fish are coming on deep water docks with a jig fished under the docks. Docks with structure on them are the best bet. The early morning top water bite is still there around sea walls and rip rap but it is not as strong as a few weeks ago.

Striper fishing is slow. If Georgia Power is pulling water there are some fish on the mid lake humps that will bite an umbrella rig.

Crappie fishing is good. Use your Lowrance to locate schools of fish in the timber from the middle of the lake to the dam. When you find these fish drop a minnow down to them. Make sure you stay on top of the school. They will not leave the timber to feed.
