LAKE ALLATOONA IS FULL, CLEAR & 78 DEGREES
Bass fishing is good. The bite is good despite this crazy weather. Look 20 to 30 feet deep in brush, on points and humps. Pull out the drop shot rigs with an 18 inch leader and a Morning Dawn worm. Also use the Super Fluke on and around the bank that would normally hold fish has them right now. As we move into September, look for these fish to start moving up and off the bottom. They’ll be starting to roam more chasing schools of small threadfin and herring.

Line side fishing is slow. If you heading out this Labor Day weekend, Carters Lake or Lake Lanier may be you're better choice. The fish are easy to find on your Lowrance but getting them to bite is another story. Just keep putting the bait right on their nose and wait. Mid lake still seems to be holding most of the fish. But don't over look the pass. We have marked a lot of fish in there this week. They just don't want bite. We are marking some big schools in the Allatoona Creek arm out over open water at Stamp Creek and a few more from Galt’s Ferry to Kellogg Creeks. The fish are on the move so you should be as well. The top water bite has been hit or miss but keep a Jr. Spook ready just in case they pop up. The south end of the lake has been best for top water action. Trolling may be the best all round bite. Mack Farr umbrella rigs in all white seem to be the ticket for the trollers right now. Use your Lowrance Structure Scan and Down Scan machines to find the fish faster.
