LAKE GEORGE IS 2.17 FEET OVER FULL, 81 DEGREES & STAINED
Bass fishing is good and there are some really nice fish being caught in very shallow grass. In some areas the fish are so shallow that you have a hard time getting to them. Start your day with top water. A buzz bait, a Devil's Horse or Zoom Horny Toad will work. A spinnerbait is also a good choice. Key on shallow grass and willows and the thicker, the better. Once the sun gets on the water, stay shallow but change your tactics a little. Get out your "long rod" and pitch Zoom Old Monster worms and Super Hogs to the grass. Key on anything different you can find; a point of grass, two different types of vegetation, anything. The presence of bait is also a key. With any current, look for the bass to congregate on little grass points on the outside edges near deeper water. We teach ON THE WATER SCHOOLS for SONAR and Rods Reels and Lures for Bass.
