It's been an interesting, sometimes rewarding and most often challenging couple of weeks on Richland Chambers! Every year about this time, the Fishing gets a bit tough and the White Bass Catchin' slows down on many days. Seems that one day you can get a box full of fish and the next day you really struggle to catch 20 or so. We call it "Going from Zero to Hero" in a 24 hour period. For the past two weeks Adam and I have called each of our Customers a day or two before the trip and gave them the latest report, and then let them decide if they wanted to fish or to cancel. So far everyone except for one Customer has decided to fish. (I'm actually off on a Saturday Morning writing this Report as my Customer really wanted LOTS of White Bass for him and his Grandson, and I couldn't guarantee it would happen.)



Time for a FISHING STORY!!!

This past Thursday, I had an AWESOME TRIP that started out slow and ended with a BANG! Frank and Bev Fry from Sugarland joined me for an morning of fishing and we had NO FISH in the box at 9AM after a couple of hours of hard fishing! Well at 9:30AM we moved out to an area where I had been catching an occasional Hybrid Striper. By 10AM we had our 10 Fish Limit of 5lb. plus Hybrids and then proceeded to catch and release for another hour. We didn't keep count, but we caught well over 20 fish up to 7lbs. in size!!! Only one word for this and it was AWESOME!!! (See Attached Picture)

Fall is near, the fishing will go from Fair to Excellent literally overnight and we will be fishing in my FAVORITE TIME OF THE YEAR!!!
