LAKE SEMINOLE IS 1.1 FEET OVER FULL, MSTEIND & 82 DEGREES BY MAT BATY

Lake Seminole is falling and the current is slowing down. Bass fishing seems to be getting somewhat tougher. The shallow grass bite is really the way to go right now and don't be afraid to fish in 2 feet of water or less. Frogs are hard to beat and you have 2 good choices. Either throw a swimming frog you can swim over the grass or either a floating hollow body frog. For a good swimming frog, use a Big Bites Baits 3.5" Top Toad in Green Pumpkin Pearl. Use a Gamakatsu 5/0 EWG hook and 60 pound test Sunline FX2 Froggin and Flipping Braid. For a hollow body frog, opt for a Spro Bronzeye Popper in Natural Green. Use the same line for this technique. Look for shallow grass flats with bream present in order to be in a good area. Another good way to catch them is to fish grass lines near the deepest part of the river channel. Use a top water plug such as a Stanford Turbo Shad in Buster Bream. If grass is not your thing, there still are some good fish being caught out deep on ledges on the Hooch. You will definitely need good electronics with a chip such as Lowrance HDS Structure Scan and Navionics Mapping Cards. Look for humps, points, and ledges on the main lake part of the Chattahoochee River and fish crank baits and Carolina rigs.
