LAKE SINCLAIR IS FULL, 82 DEGREES, STAINED UP RIVER
Bass fishing has been great. Fish can be found all over the lake in shallow water. We are catching fish on main lake points all the way back to the back end of creeks. The water temperature has cooled off about five degrees in the past week which has triggered the shad to move back in the pockets and creeks. Fall patterns are starting to emerge. Cover water with reaction baits all day to get the most bites. Tru Trac Lures spinnerbaits and Zman Chatterbaits in white or chartreuse and white are working well around shallow wood cover and grass beds in Rooty Creek and the Oconee River. A Lucky Craft Sammy and Bass Hound square bill crank bait have been working on shallow points and flats in the first half of pockets and creeks. The key right now is to stay around the shad and to make sure you have deep water close by. If the fishing gets tough, a Buckeye Spot Remover jig head with a green pumpkin Zoom trick worm will catch fish on docks and in shallow brush piles in the first half of pockets.
