LAKE WEISS IS AT 1.34 FEET BELOW FULL POOL AND STAINED AND 74-76 DEGREE'S

Bass fishing is good and a lot of bass have started moving in shallow, Rat L Traps and Spinner Baits are producing best. Some fish are still being caught on the creek and river channel ledges, 8 to 12 feet deep on crank baits, spinner baits, Pig and Jigs and Carolina rigged plastics. Submerged road beds and deeper main lake points are also producing some good bass.

Striper fishing is poor and a few are being at the Cave Hole in Little River and Little Spring Creek and the Chattooga River. Live Shad down lined 8 to 10 feet deep and Shad on a flat line behind the boat is the way to catch these fish.

Crappie fishing is good and the river and creek channel ledges are now starting to produce some good Crappie in 12 to 18 feet of water on stumps and brush. Spider rigging with live minnows is the way to catch the fall crappie. Shooting docks with a 1/24 ounce Jiffy Jig is still producing some crappie. Crappie are still being caught around deeper docks and the night fishing with lights over structure is really good also.
