Fishing Friends,

13 year old Jarrod brought four of his Adult Friends to Richland Chambers on Saturday and then promptly caught ALL the fish!!! Not really, but Jarrod did put on a "Clinic" and showed the Old Pros how to catch White Bass on a bit of a tough day right before the Cool Front hit in the late morning! The crew finished the morning with 72 Keepers, a lot of throwbacks and another Fall Day full of memories!



I only fished three days last week and saw the fishing improve a bit from the prior weeks. On Wednesday, the White Bass were biting at virtually every spot that was fished and an easy day of Catchin' was the result. Thursday's trip with two Gentlemen from Houston resulted in a 50 fish limit of good fish, but we actually had to "work" for them as the fish were once again scattered and not as cooperative. As mentioned earlier, Saturday was a good day and fun but still we had to fish hard to fill the box! Almost all our fish came from the Pelican Island area on RSR Silver Slabs ( www.rsrlures.com ) .

Reports from other Guides and Locals that fished last week were that the Catfish were biting fair off Points in 20' water on shad. Not many folks were catching Crappie but those that did caught them on minnows over brush piles in the 20' or less depths of water.

Fall appears to have finally arrived with the Weekend Cool Front. The fishing for all species should improve dramatically over the next few days and we can officially enter the "FALL FEEDING FRENZY" and fill those freezers with lots of fish filets!
