LAKE RUSSELL IS FULL & 77 DEGREES

Bass fishing is fair and the quality bass on the rocky points and anglers are using a variety of crank baits. Fish as many points as possible. Use the Shad Raps, Chatter baits, Husky Jerk Baits and Fat Raps. When the fishing slows, back off the points and use a 4 foot leader and a one ounce egg sinker on the Carolina rigs and work the baits slowly over the stumps. Some of the water holding the better fish will be twenty five feet deep may be deeper. A slow presentation will work best when fishing this deep. Try using a Zoom mini lizard on one rig and a 6 inch lizard on another Carolina rig. Use a long leader and two Caroline Keepers with the 2/0 or 4/0 Mustad hook works best.
