LAKE RUSSELL IS FULL & 76 DEGREES
Bass fishing is fair. Fishing the wood is the best pattern and every piece of wood from Beaverdam Creek to way up in the Savannah River has the potential of holding good size bass. Largemouth and spotted bass are feeding on small one inch sized shad. Buzz baits and small Chug Bugs caught limits of bass with most of these being small in size. Carolina rigs will still work in deep water and on the channel ledges. This is a great time for the Ito Vision 110 jerk baits. Finesse worms floated over grass beds or a u tail worm in dark colors can work after the sun is up. Use greens and crawfish colors on a light 1/16 lead weight on the edges of the grass. With the warm weather run an all white buzz bait over and around the grass in the backs of the creeks. Ask Ken for a sample of the BASS FISHING LAKE RUSSELL book. ken@southernfishing.com
