What a fun week on RC as the 6-Flags Maintenance Team from the DFW area came down for their annual Fishing Trip. These are the Guys who keep the Amusement Park in operation and include Electricians, Carpenters, Mechanics and General Maintenance Personnel. Each year around twenty Fishermen fish with us over a three day period and some stay overnight at Fisherman's Point Marina. (See enclosed Pics of the Group that fished with us on Tuesday, stayed overnight and enjoyed the Food, Fun and Fishing) It's good to report that our Tuesday thru Thursday 6-Flags trips were productive with each trip producing fish...just some more than others!!! The week started off on Monday with a perfect day...Cloudy, South Breeze and mild temperatures. I guess the fish didn't read the book that said they were supposed to bite as my boat had 15 Keepers and Adam's had 30. The very next day we have the Bluebird Skys, North Wind and conditions aren't what you'd like and....we cleaned 120 White Bass between the two boats. This same pattern went on all week with a good day and a tough day. Guess some of the little Fronts that keep coming through had the fish confused. Bottom line is that it's Fall, the Outings are pleasant and it's a GREAT time of the year to be on the Lake!!!
As we move more into the Fall, the fishing and catching will improve dramatically. Check out the 309 Flats and Pelican Island early for the White Bass and Hybrid Stripers. Crappie should still be able to be located on the Bridge Columns and Brush Piles and those who fish for Catfish can find them on Points and Main Lake Humps like the Windsock Point.
It is time to do some Catchin' during my absolute favorite month of the year (November) and we'd love to host one of your Family, Church, Business or Group trips. Check us out on the web at www.gonefishin.biz or give us a call at 903-389-4117.
Have a Great Day!
