CLARKS HILL IS DOWN 2.2 FEET, 68 DEGREES & CLEAR
Bass fishing is fair. Fish flukes in the ditches and along the grass mat edges. This method is proving to be effective but slow. Try up the river or into the major creeks and use lipless crank baits along rocky banks and islands. Others are still fishing the submerged stumps with plastics and jigs. All these patterns are working along with an occasional spinnerbait bite. It will be a coin toss on which method will pay off the best. You will need to fish slow, but don't spend too much time in one area. The bass aren't grouped up yet in bunches, so move along and fish new water, but fish it thoroughly. Take along several of each; Spinner baits, X-Raps, Shad Raps and small flukes in assorted colors, Jigs and DT's or Shad Raps if you plan on fishing rip rap or small stretches of rocks.
