Adam and I enjoyed a trip with eight or our Senior Church Friends from Tyler and Whitehouse this past Monday and everyone caught fish and then we did a Shore Lunch Fish Fry after the trip. This is a great Group of Guys that fish with us every Spring and Fall and always insist on the Fellowship of a Shore Lunch after the trip. On Tuesday, Mike Irvin from Clifton and his Cousin from Fredricksburg did a Morning trip with me and we limited out on nice White Bass. Then came the rains and the wind, and we didn't fish again until Saturday Morning. We should have left the boats on the trailers as the strong North Wind made it impossible to fish the spots we wanted to, and the cool temperatures made for a rough trip. Between the two boats and four fishermen and Adam and I, we had a total of 15 Keeper fish. Even with the millions of White Bass in RC, it can still make you very humble on days!!! Almost all our fish came from the 309 Flats and Pelican Island areas this past week. Fall Fishing has yet to get "Easy" with limits on every trip. Here's hoping the next couple of weeks, it breaks loose and we all become "Expert Fishermen" again!!!
Here's a couple of reminders as we head into the latter part of the year:
*We still have spots available on the Veteran's Day trips we're conducting on November 11th thru 14th. These are morning trips and are $75 for Vets and Active Duty members. All others are regular price.
*While we have LOTS of Weekday openings, we also have a BOAT OPEN on Saturday, November 23rd and December 21st.
*We have openings the three days before Thanksgiving and all during the Christmas Holidays if you want to get the Kids out and catch some fish!
