  • I have been fortunate enough to make a life long past time into a livelihood. I am on the water every chance I get to try and stay keyed in on the almighty striper and to ensure limits of fish for each and everyone of my customers. However, the occasional tough days do happen, it is fishing, I give my word that I will do everything in my power to ensure that you and yours catch fish!

Well fishing is drastically improving for me each and every week. Live bait fishing is getting better and better with each cool night. The lake is starting turnover and the bite should improve even more once it has completed the cycle. Bottom fishing has still been turning up nice limits and were starting to pull planers again with consistency as well. Most fish seem to be in the 25-35 ft range right now and soon will be free to roam wherever they so choose. I truly enjoy this time of year on the water as the fish are starting to feed heavily as they can sense winter coming on fast. You can and will be able to find fish anywhere right now. Their are still plenty of fish on the main lake as usually are this time of year and you will still find catchable fish out there until usually late December as by then most of the better sized fish will make their way into the major creeks searching food and warmer water temperatures. I am hitting some nice fish way up the creeks as well already too. If your seriously going to fish, do it right. Put a little time and effort into it, catch you some good bait, spend a little time graphing and hunting. Too me that is part of the experience. If striper fishing was easy, everyone would do it. Fishing is not much different than hunting big game. The ones who put the time in, are the ones who can consistently bring home the bacon! Those who want to sit at home and let someone else do all the work then blast in once and a blue moon while calling everyone they know to tell them where to fish and what to do so they can act like a hero don’t get the real satisfaction I do out of this sport. Striper fishing can be very humbling to even the best of guides. You can go 25-30 straight days of limiting out in literally minutes. And just when you think I am pretty darn good….the striper will fool you once again while frustrating you beyond belief! All you can do is keep a positive and open mind. Learn to adapt to the conditions. What worked today, might not work tomorrow. Fishing the same way over and over day in and day out just doesn’t work all the time. I try to do whatever means necessary to put limits of fish in the boat, day in and day out. Get familiar with your graph, it can be your best friend if you properly know how to use it or your worst enemy if you don’t know what your looking at! Good luck and good fishing to everyone.Jared (606)872-1515
