A couple of Summers ago we were well into Drought Conditions, continuous days of 100 degree heat and no foreseeable relief in the form of rainfall! At that time I told my wife to give me a swift KICK in the rear if I ever again complained of cool or cold temperatures and rain! Well I've still not received that KICK and we've had some pretty early Cold Fronts and much needed rainfall this Fall. Ain't it wonderful!!! The Lake is rising a bit and the fish are starting to bite much better! Looks like we're set for some Good Fall and Winter action!



We've cancelled and rescheduled quite a few fishing trips that were interrupted by the weather, but we've also had a number of pretty good trips in the past couple of weeks. This past week, Adam and I had a Group Trip of six(6) Guys from Clifton and we had a Great Morning with several BIG Hybrid Stripers, over seventy-five (75) White Bass, and a few Crappie and Catfish to top off the box. On Tuesday, I conducted a Catfish Trip and we caught our fifty (50) fish limit of Blues and Channels and had a few Whites to round out the morning. (See picture enclosed and YES we'll be offering Catfish Trips thru the Winter Months when these fish are really aggressive) Thursday's trip with three (3) regulars from Palestine resulted in another seventy-five (75) fish limit of White Bass that were some of the largest fish of the Fall! The fish were really on an aggressive bite and then....... the Rains and Freezing Temperatures came and we called it off for the remainder of the week!

Adam and I are fortunate to be booked all next week, but have LOTS of Weekdays open after we get through the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend. If the weather is nice in December, the fishing can be some of the BEST of the year with normally larger White Bass and a few Hybrids. If you want a Christmas Break Trip with the Kids, it's time to book it now as we always stay busy during the Holidays. If you want to fill the freezer with Catfish, we can do that too.

One other reminder is that we offer CHRISTMAS GIFT CERTIFICATES for that Fisherman or Woman in the Family. Take our word that Dad will sure appreciate a Fishing Trip much more than another tie!
