Fishing friends,

Here's hoping you had a wonderful thanksgiving with family and friends! We certainly did and were fortunate enough to get a little rain before the holidays that raised our lake another foot plus a few inches. As of this writing, the lake level has rebounded from 10' low to just under 8' low. That's a start and here's wishing we get some more much needed rainfall in the winter/spring timeframe.

The cold and rain did slow our fishing some but we managed to conduct six (6) trips during the wednesday thru saturday period. Adam and i had the good fortune of seeing some of our regular thanksgiving customers and a few new customers too! The white bass bite just all but disappeared so we resorted to catfishing on most of the trips. Some trips were better than others but we managed to catch a few on all of them. The enclosed picture was from friday's trip with the nichols family. Boy we had fun as the kids put quite a few in the ice chest!!!

It appears winter has come earlier than usual. The forecast for the upcoming week has a little bit of everything in store for us with 60 degree temps early in the week and down to 30 degrees and more rain/snow by the weekend. During this timeframe we take it a day at a time and normally get a couple of days of fishing in each week. If the weather is nice and you want to get on the lake, give us a call. The fish still bite, but it's a slower pace and one that really challenges the fisherman. If you're up to the challenge, adam and i are ready to fish!!!

A couple of thoughts to leave you with....(1) if you're wanting to partner up with someone on a fishing trip, just let us know. We have several folks that we can pair you with in order to split the cost of a trip, and (2) how about a gift certificate for christmas for the fisherperson in the family? We can get it in the mail tomorrow!
