CLARKS HILL IS 1.83 FEET OVER FULL, 51 DEGREES & STAINED
Bass fishing is slow. With the water temperature dropping, bass fishing has been on one day and off the next. Look for a couple of warm days in a row for your best bite. After a couple of warm days look for the shad in the month of coves and pockets. Fish a small crank bait in a shad pattern or a Bandit 200 in root beer in the areas you find shad flicking on the surface. The shad are looking for the warmest waters and stained waters hold the heat better than clear water. A few fish are still being caught under docks using a 3/8 ounce Strike King Jig, black and blue with a Zoom Salty Chunk in the watermelon color. Work this bait on the docks in the mouth of the pockets and coves or any blow downs. Ask for a free sample of the BASS FISHING LAKE CLARKS HILL book. Send a sample request to ken@southernfishing.com
