Our days on the Lake have been very limited lately due to the extreme COLD and the Roller Coaster rides we've been on in regard to weather, wind and temperatures! However, on the days we have been able to fish, we've had really good action and LOTS of FUN!

Adam and I were fortunate to fish with two Families on the recent Monday MLK Holiday and we had a blast!!! The Catfish were certainly not taking the day off as we cleaned over 75 Blue and Channel Cats, and each boat had a REALLY BIG fish that was in the Slot (30" to 45") and was caught and released. A 13 year old Young Lady on Adam's boat caught a 20 plus lb. Blue Cat. The big fish of the day, a 40 plus lb. Blue was caught, pictured and released by a Mom in my boat! All our fish came from the timbered areas of the Lake in the Richland Creek channel, and most were in depths of 20' to 30' of water. All were caught on Danny King's Punch Bait.


It certainly appears that we're in for more Cold Fronts and Winter weather as January ends and February begins. If we do get a few days of the mild and seasonal weather and temperatures in the 60's, it's good to get out and avoid "Cabin Fever"! We have boats open most days this time of the year if you'd like to load the freezer with some Catfish filets. We're offering our "Winter Special" of a three Fishermen Trip for the Two Person Rate!
