    Bass

Several different methods are working right now. Top water baits and spinner baits are productive in the morning. Most bass are in 12'-20' throughout the day and that is the depth I would fish right after the first hour of daylight. Carolina rigging has been working well with plastic Rage Tail worms and lizards. Grubs have been working well in the lake and the river with green and white being the main colors. Live bait accounts for several smallmouth but we were able to catch a few in the 3-5 pound range on Strike King Series 6XD crank baits and small grubs.

    Stripers

Rockfish are active at different times of the day. You can expect to catch several fish with a few of them weighing over 10 pounds but you can also find yourself fishing during slow feeding periods in hot weather with no results for several hours. Like bass fishing you will find the first hour of daylight exciting with Strike Kings walking top water baits and jerk baits. As soon as you see the fish are deep try fishing with Strike Kings Redfish glass minnow or live bait. I have been catching fish with small bluegill until a few days ago and now that method has slowed down and after they stop biting them it is usually time to start trying to catch skipjack minnows. Use a three ounce sinker to reach the bottom faster. Over the last two weeks I have seen several fish over twenty pounds.

    Catfish

Catfish are in deep water channels and are also showing up in shallow water again. Night crawlers are picking up most of the fish we have caught.
