I went by the ramp this morning and it really looks good ... about 1/2 way up the ramp at Burkesville, has a REAL good green color to it. I'd guess gravel bars are about 1.5' or 2' under the water right now.

Got some good trout coming in on blade bates and crawfish colored chad wraps. Been catching suckers in the backwater fishing from the bank in the creeks.

Haven't seen any white bass yet, but it's time for 'em, probably a little past time for 'em. Should be a good year for the whites due to the high water we've had since November. Now that the river is down to a normal level.

As far as the trout goes, good trout coming in. It's better last year than the last 5 or 6 years and look forward to be a lot better for trout this year too. Ought to be some good ones caught.

Haven't had any report on stripers, mainly due to the weather and nobody really wanting to get out and work for 'em.

River is in the best shape it's been in all year. Just waiting for the good warm weather when people can start enjoying it and not have to work too hard it.

If I start hearing of any good catches or when the white bass start to run I'll let ya'll know.
