Spring Break Week for most Texas Schools was this past week and Adam and I had a pretty full calendar. We were able to get all our trips in except on Wednesday when the North Winds howled and kept us off the Lake! I fished six trips and Adam fished four and we had fairly consistent results on almost all of them. Monday was the only really tough day that resulted in a small box of 13 fish for my customers and a respectable box of 30 or so in Adam's boat. The remainder of the trips we had catches of Channel and Blue Catfish that ranged from a low of 25 fish to a high of more than 50 Keepers! To top it off, on Adam's Tuesday and Saturday trips his customers caught, pictured and released (CPR)Catfish weighing over 50 lbs. On my Saturday trip, we had one nearly in the net of the same size and the line broke! Oh well there's always the "one that got away story" to tell!



Catfishing continues to be good most days. We're catching our fish in the timbered areas of the Richland Creek Arm in water around 20' deep on Danny Kings Punch Bait. There have been a few sporadic stories of White Bass and Crappie being caught but I've yet to hear more than a few reports. The water temperature warmed a bit this past week to near 56 degrees so it won't be long till we're fishing for the White Bass and Hybrid Stripers. Here's hoping we have a minimum number of Cold Fronts as Spring nears!
