Fished Burkesville north about 4 miles Saturday. water level pretty close to perfect. Water color was a bit cloudy, but not bad. We got a late start Saturday, but did manage to catch about 10 trout between the two of us. One nice 17 inch brown in the mouth of a creek. Sunday, we put in at Winfrey Ferry ramp. (Note, that ramp is a good one, just a long back down, and a sharp left that makes it all kind of tricky. ) We went just a little past Rock House and caught 12 more. All stocker Rainbows and browns 12-14 inches long. Windy and Sunny today. Got lost on the way, the sign for the last turn is gone, so that slowed us down. In all, the river was in good shape. Wish we would have tried right below the dam and in that area.
