WEST POINT LAKE IS FULL, STAINED & MID TO UPPER 60 DEGREES

Bass fishing is good and there shallow and deep fish that have spawned. Many small males are busy guarding the fry. Bass are on road beds and shallow structure in 8 to 12 feet of water. Some are still holding in deep blow downs in the upper part of the lake from the 109 bridge and up. Use a Texas rigged worm or pig and jig in the blow downs. The big news is top water action is good all over the lake early in the mornings and late in the evenings. The best fishing is on the points using Carolina rigged worms in most any color pumpkinseed, green, and purple and crank baits.
