    BASS
In the last two weeks bass fishing has improved dramatically. Several different baits work at different times of the day. Early morning you can start catching fish on Sexy Dawg too water baits (walking baits) on main lake points and in the backs of creeks. During that first hour it is good to throw a Strike king Series 3 crank bait and a Red Eyed Shad on the main lake points, in the backs of cove just stick with the top water baits and Red Eyed shad. You can carolina and Texas rig throughout the day starting early and ending late. The best bait for plastic rigs seem to be a green Strike King Rag Tail worm. If you like to throw a crank bait a lot stick with a Series 3 and throw it along the main lake banks and focus on points at the mouths of creeks. In the late afternoon I like to find myself shallow again with the same patterns I started off with.

    STRIPE
White bass are still running strong. We are able to catch multiple limits. Small crank baits are producing a large number of fish. White grubs are also doing well. Rocky banks and gravel barsare very good locations for white bass right now.

    Rockfish(Stripers)
Deep diving crank baits such as 6XD's that dive deeper than 15' are still working great. Also try drifting minnows around the dam with a three way swivel and 3oz sinker has produced fish throughout the day. In the afternoon you can catch a few busting the surface the last 30min of daylight.

    Sauger
We are catching a few sauger on small crank baits. We are catching a few casting along the river banks but we are catching a few more trolling the crank baits in 15' of water.

    Crappie
Crappie have been showing up in shallower water. Small minnows have accounted for most of the crappie. Small jigs and grubs are also catching a lot of crappie.

    Catfish
Catfish are bitting. Fishing cut bait around the dam seems to be working well. Also fishing in 15' of water on the edge of the river channel with worms or nightcrawlers has produced several catfish.
