LAKE HARTWELL IS .76 FEET OVER FULL, THE MAIN LAKE IS CLEAR AND 67.2 DEGREES, THE BACKS OF CREEKS ARE SLIGHTLY STAINED AND 70 DEGREES
Bass fishing is good. Most of the fish are now in a full blown spawn. Look for the shore line grass and pockets with grass to hold the majority of the spawners. Look specifically for the pockets with sand and clay. A Sworming Hornet Dude in pearl white, a frog, a spinnerbait and a jig head worm are working well for these fish. As far as the main lake, the spotted bass are on every shoal marker that has sand or rock around it. Jerk baits, flukes, and shaky heads are taking these fish. Look for the herring spawn to be a major factor in the next few weeks. It has already started, but is not in full swing yet.
