LAKE HARTWELL IS FULL POOL. THE MAIN LAKE IS CLEAR AND 76 DEGREES, THE BACKS OF CREEKS ARE SLIGHTLY STAINED AND 78 DEGREES

Bass fishing is good and lots of anglers have been out on the water flipping docks and fishing the points. There are two patterns used by a lot of anglers, but don't limit yourself to just two. There is a good top water bite early in the morning and then again late in the evening. Chug Bugs and Skitter Props around the brush piles are still catching good bass. Some anglers are even using them on the sides of the docks, before throwing a jig or worm on them. Fish the steep rock walls up in the rivers. A 1/4 ounce Strike King Jig on ten or twelve pound test line is all you need. Stay with the brown and green color for best results.
