I’m Bill Boyer and here‘s this week’s Rough River Lake Fishing report.
Water temperature is hovering around 85degrees with the water level
coming in at 4 ft below summer pool. Water Clarity is Clear.
Bass are fair and being taken on jigs and worms fished near
structure in 6-8 ft of water ,while crank baits and spinnerbaits
fished around 10-12ft of water on primary and secondary points are
producing numbers as well.
Top water action is fair with buzzbaits and floating worms fished
around grass.
With the recent rains and cooler temperatures Crappie are fair to good
and being taken off brush piles and standing timber in 8-10 ft of
water near channels while using minnows with tubes being effective
as well.
Hybrids are fair and being taken on rattle traps and also shiners
and chicken livers
Bluegill are still fair! and being taken in 2-4 ft of water around
timber and brush piles with redworms and waxworms and small spinners.
Catfish are fair! and being taken on flats with Shiners , Bluegill,
and Goldfish.
