  • Richland Chambers Fishing Report - TX

This past week I was on the Lake everyday and experienced the "Easiest" and the "Toughest" day of Spring, and within 72 hours of each other! On Tuesday, a foursome had their 100 fish limit of White Bass in 2 hours and all were caught in one location (Pelican Island). On Friday, a Dad and Son had only 7 fish by 10:30AM, and we managed to eak out 32 by midday, but only after fishing at least a dozen spots. Then on Saturday, Adam and I had a two boat Party of seven Guys and we cleaned 140 fish! (See Insert) It's that time of the year when you can go from Hero to Zero and back again in a short time. The fish are scattered, but if you find a BIG school of them like we did a couple of days this week, you can load the box! Most of our fish continue to come on Slabs, but it won't be long till the Top Water Summer bite kicks in gear!

Crappie fishing has been good on brushpiles in 15'-20' of water and small minnows seem to catch more than jigs. The Hwy 287 and Hwy 2859 Bridge Columns are also normally good for a few Crappie this time of the year.

Lot's of Catfish continue to be caught on the same humps as the White Bass frequent. Shad or even Danny King's Punch Bait with get you a box of Blues.

Schools out and it's time to get those Kids and Grandkids on the Lake! Give us a call and we can fix you up!

Have a Great Week and Let's Go Fishin'!
