  • Kentucky Lake Fishing Report - KY

    The lake is at 360.03
    Water Temp is 77

Fishing here on Kentucky Lake has been really good. Even with the high water that all the rain has brought. A fisherman can catch fish on the ledges and by flipping shallow. The lake has began to fall slightly and it will just depend on how much rain we continue to get on what the lake level will be like in the week to come.

If you’re wanting to ledge fish look into the main lake creeks to find cleaner water. This is where I have been doing best since the muddy main lake has moved most of the main lake fish. In the mouth of creeks I am fishing a custom ¾ jig I make with a ZOOM Fat Albert twin tail. Green Pumpkin/purple and Green pumpkin have been best for me. I am also Carolina rigging a ZOOM Ole Monster worm in Blue fleck and other similar colors to catch some fish; also I will Texas rig this worm with a ¾ Pro Tungsten weight. I love the Tungsten it’s a lot more sensitive than lead and most of my bites have been really light.

With the high water its moved some of the bass into the shallow flooded brush, I am flippin a ½ black and blue custom jig with a Zoom Super chunk. Just flip the flooded buck brush and willow tree bases.

Ledge and Electronics Class, on the water!

Learn and get confidence by catching fish on the ledges. If you’re new to Kentucky Lake or just haven’t been able to figure out how to fish the hundreds of miles of ledges that it has to offer. Then this class is for you. Fishing the ledges is something a lot of anglers struggle with. Understanding what ledges hold fish, when they hold fish and why they hold fish is something I can teach you. I will help you eliminate 90% of the lake in a short time. See what type of areas hold fish and how to find the bait.
