  • Richland Chambers Fishing Report - TX

OK....Here's a "Fill In The Blank" sentence for you the readers to decide on!

It was a ( Wet, Great, Windy, Fun, Catchin', Excellent, Fair, Challenging, Wonderful, Exciting, Frustrating, or Satisfying) week on Richland Chambers!

Well....if you picked any or all of the adjectives, you'd be correct as we had it all on RC this week. I was booked everyday and Adam was booked four days. We started the week on Monday with a Rainout and then I had a late cancel on Tuesday. Adam had the best day of Catchin' all week on Tuesday. His crew included the three Crabtree Brothers (See Picture) who fish with us often and they whacked the White Bass on a Windy, but Excellent Day. The only thing missing was their Dad who was ill and was really missed! Wednesday was a Great day for me as my threesome ended the morning with 72 Keepers!!! Thursday, we tried to fish, but Mother Nature had other ideas and frightened us off the Lake with some Windy and Wet stuff! On Friday, I had three new Customers who had more Fun than the law allows while putting only 37 Keepers in the box. What a pleasure it is to have folks fish with us that enjoy the total trip (Includes the Sunrise, Waterfowl, Boat Ride, Mother Nature, Fellowship and of course Catchin' some fish) and not just focus on a challenging bite! Saturday was pure fun as we had a Family reserve both boats and a three year old caught his FIRST fish! We only managed 40 Keepers on Saturday, but no one was counting and there's still more than enough fish for the Fish Fry!

Fishing has gotten a little tough the last two weeks as we're burning a lot of gas, chasing scattered fish, and dealing with the early Summer transition from the ALL Slab bite to the soon to be Summer Top Water bite. This seems to happen every year sometime between late May and early July. Hopefully we're back to EASY soon and the full boxes of Keepers once more becomes the norm! Regardless of the type day we have, Adam and I pledge to do our best to put folks on fish. We are blessed to have a FULL JUNE calendar, and I have been booked everyday except Sunday since late March! THANKS to all of you who have and continue to fish with us! We appreciate your business and your friendship!

Have a Great Day and hope to see you soon!
