Lake Cumberland fishing report for may 25 th, 2013. The water temp is about 70 degrees and clear. The water level is slowly falling back to 705 feet above sea level.
The striper fishing has improved with most days limits are being caught before 9 am. They are still scattered but very aggressive coming off the spawn. I am fishing main lake pulling planer boards with alewife herring from surface to 30 ft.
We are getting very few doubles but they will start schooling very soon.
The smallmouth fishing has been very good flipping shad into the bank with small shad with light line.
The bluegill fishing has also been good fishing live bait close to cover. They will be on the nest the next two full moons on gravel sloping banks. Good luck and take a kid fishing.
God bless
