The last two weeks we've experienced some very good Top Water White Bass action each day on Richland Chambers! Almost every morning around 6:30AM, the fish start surface feeding on the South Shoreline area and literally feed for an hour or so chasing the baitfish (Shad)from Windsock Point all the way to the Main Lake deep water. This is about a mile stretch of water and the entire time large schools of White Bass are busting the bait and creating havoc! What a thrill for those having never seen surface feeding fish! It's looks like a 2 acre Washing Machine!

You can catch the fish on just about any bait that is small and shiny. We're using RSR Tail Spinners ( www.rsrlures.com ) and Tiny Torpedoes to catch our fish, but just about any bait that looks like a small minnow or shad will work. Just cast it out and begin a slow steady retrieve and it's FISH ON!!! We had such a tremendous spawn last year that the White Bass population is at it's highest level we've seen in recent years. Lots of the fish we are catching are not yet Keepers, but we manage to get a limit of bigger fish most trips. A three or four person Party can expect to catch a 100 fish or more! This type activity should be going on throughout the Summer.
