Lake Cumberland fishing report for July 4, 2014. The boating season is in full swing and summer fishing patterns are also. The water temp is in the low 80's and clear. Striper fishing is as good as it gets. Most days you have to wait to clean fish with most people limiting out everyday early. The size of re fish are also increasing with a lot of 30 inch fish being caught. The fish are starting to school and congregate in deeper water. We have been fishing the main lake from 15 to 40 feet deep. There have also been reports of good surface activity also. The summer bass fishing patterns are also in full swing. Crappie fishin has been fair at best. Bluegill fishing has been good with nice ones being caught on worms and crickets fishing in hollows with flat banks they have been caught 5 to 25 ft deep. Good luck and take a kid fishing. God bless.
