The water temp is about 80 degrees on the surface.
The striper fishing has been really good lately with a lot of surface activity. The fish are moving fast on the main lake like it is fall most days. Big schools of fish are feeding on the surface most days making it easy to find them. Usually around the feeding surface fish are tight schools of fish from 30 to 60 feet deep. We have been down lining alewifes into the schools and needless to say the action is hot and heavy. This technique should last for several weeks With the water cooling the jumps should last longer.
The crappie fishing has been decent fishing close to cover 10 to 25 feet deep.
The walleye are being caught on diving crank sits long line trolled in 20 to 30 feet of water. The smack tackle diving gizz 3 is my favorite and a reef runner a close second. Good luck and hope to see you on the water this fall, we will have some beautiful days coming up.
Thanks
