    Bass
Bass fishing continues to be productive. I start all of my bassfishing guide trips early to ensure we are going to catch a few good fish. Ilike to start at 5am with a top water bait. Strike King Spit N king or SexyDawg and their three bladed buzz bait. One of these will catch them while thefish are busting the surface. After the top water bite has slowed downuse a deep diving crank bait in 12-15' of water. Then move out to deeperledges with a 6XD. Carolina rigging a plastic 10" Iguana in deepwater has produced a lot of large bass.

    Stripers
The Strike King "Spit N King" has been an all around greattopwater with stripers and bass in the Tennessee River below the Pickwick Dam. Popping this feathered tail bait attracts fish that is in the area thatare activly feeding on the surface. If you are after stripers and youhave already caught a few big ones on the top water baits you might want toswitch over to a jerk bait because you can usually hold on to the fish longerwith the jerk bait. Right now you can find small stripers busting thesurface all day but the bigger stripers will be in deeper water afterthe first few hours of daylight. Throughout the middle of the day you will needto switch to a deep diving crankbait, crank hard with your drag loose.

    Catfish
Catfish are being caught on cut bait and worms. I've caught a few in frontof the spill ways below the dam.
