Looks like Fall has officially arrived, the weather and temperatures are awesome and the fish are biting!!! Just doesn't get any better than this! Well....maybe not all the fish are biting as the White Bass are still no where to be found, but the Catfishing has been just short of Excellent! We conducted five trips last week and caught a box full of Channel and Blue Cats every outing. The attached picture is from an annual Boy Scout Fishing Trip on Saturday, September 20th! Most of the action is in 3' to 10' of water in timbered areas of the Lake and up the Richland Creek arm. We're fishing exclusively with Danny King's Punch Bait on a #4 treble hook. The Catfish will be on this pattern for the remainder of the Fall and early Winter months.



Crappie action is fair to good and most fish are being caught on small minnows. Spend a little time with your Electronics and find the manmade brush piles in 10' to 15' of water and you'll find the fish. Or fish the timbered areas and coves in the same depth near Fisherman's Point Marina. The Hwy 287 Bridge Columns will also almost always hold a few fish.
