I know it's November, but the past week was almost Spring like with strong south winds and warm temps to begin the week, mild mid week days and a Cool Front that brought 25 MPH North Winds on Friday and temperatures in the 30's on Saturday Morning! We were able to fish on three days but had to cancel a couple of trips due to the winds that made for a not so fun and unsafe lake. Tuesday and Saturday proved to be the best days for Catchin' as I fished with the Hutchins ( A Dad and Son Combo) on Tuesday and we put 30 nice Catfish in the box in the first couple of hours and then looked for White Bass the remainder of the trip. We found one small school of Whites and caught one fish before calling it a day as the wind was picking up again! On Saturday, we delayed our start until 8AM as the temperature had dipped into the 30's. It was just what the fish wanted as we had non-stop action all morning long and filled the ice chest with Blue and Channel Catfish. The Bowman Family from Arlington (See Picture) had a ball as we never really had a lull in the action and caught well over a 100 fish and kept 60. All fish were caught in the timber on the Richland Creek Arm with Danny Kings Punch Bait on a #4 treble hook. While most fish were in the 1 to 2 lb. range, we had a couple of Blues over 5 lbs. Just doesn't get much more fun than this!!!
