  • Richland Chambers Fishing Report - TX

What a fun week on RC as I fished on Monday and Tuesday with two fishermen who were High School and College Buddies and came from Abilene and Houston to meet up after about 40 years. My Wife and I welcomed a new Grandson into the World on Tuesday Evening! I fished with a 4 person Ladies Group from the Mansfield Methodist Church on Friday, and David Bristow and I fished with an 8 person Ladies Group from the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Burleson on Saturday!!!!

Important things first as Seth Josiah Simmons was born Tuesday Evening and weighed in at 7 lbs. 15 oz. and is Adam and Brookes third child and first little Boy! He and the family are all doing great!

We caught a LOT of Catfish all week on RC with a mixture of Blues, Channels and even one 25 lb. Flathead! Every trip provided a couple of BIG fish, but Friday's trip with the Ladies from Mansfield was especially eventful as we had a couple of really BIG Blues with the largest going around 40 lbs. and also the Big Flathead Catfish. (See the attached pics from this trip) The cooler weather is bringing out the bigger Cats and it's only going to get better as Fall turns into Winter. All our fish are coming in the timbered areas of the Richland Creek Arm on Danny Kings Punch Bait.

Adam and I have a couple of days open the week of November 17th and I am open Monday,November 24th if anyone wants to get in on this action! All the other November days are booked but we have plenty of openings in December. The Fall Months are normally busy months for us if the weather doesn't get too cold. The BIG fish are on the move and it's a pleasant time to be on the Lake.

Get out and enjoy the Fall as it's a Great Time on the Lake, in the Woods or just about anywhere!
