    The Details:

Largemouth Bass: Fair to slow this week with the Arctic cold front blasting in and dropping water temps this week. Bass have been good from around 3 to 5 pounds, on Crankbaits, spinner baits, Rat-L-Traps, and spoons prior to front's arrival this week. Good numbers of 14-18" Largemouth Bass, have been caught and released over the past few weeks in the 2-4 pound class.

Kastmaster and Cordell hammered jigging spoons with bucktails, were still taking some good fish in the pockets and coves out of the current in Little River this past week over planted brush and stumps, in 12-18 feet depth ranges, close to deep water drop off channels into Little River. Clarity and stain has begun settling out, and water color continues improving.

Best crankbaits are the Bomber and XCalibur cranks in Tenn Shad, Citrus Shad, or Sexy Ghost, seemingly preferred colors of the Largemouths and White Bass alike with normal pool and clarity. Rat-L-Traps, Spin Traps, or Pro-Traps in Millwood Magic, chrome/blue, or white Zombie Shad were taking Largemouths and White Bass also in creek channels, ditches, and points in Little River prior to the cold front hitting this week.

White Bass: Little River's roaming shad schools are where to find the White Bass. The Whites were hitting the Tennessee Shad or citrus or threadfin shad colored crankbaits in Little River, and the back of the oxbows on White Zombie Rat-L-Traps. Whites were surface breaking on shad in back of Horseshoe and McGuire oxbows late last week. These surface breaking fish continue hitting Rat-L-Traps, Johnson and Kastmaster spoons, Little Cleos and Rooster Tails in red/white or chartreuse/white Rocket Shads. Search for the Whites, upriver at creek dumps and ditches dumping into Little River on points and creek mouths junctions.

Crappie: are starting to stack vertically over and in planted brush piles, or deadfalls, from 12-17 feet depth out of current, along Little River.

Cats: No report on Cats this week.
