LAKE RUSSELL IS FULL, CLEAR & HIGH 50’S
Bass fishing is fair. Bass have been hitting a Carolina rig worm while fishing the channel ledges. These areas are great to find active feeding bass due to the high levels of oxygen that is generated by the moving water. If you head up this way, and it might not be a bad idea, take along a variety of baits. Start off the morning by throwing either a Jointed Shad Rap or a RS Shad Rap along the bank. This will tell me if the bass are in feeding pattern and are active. Another good bait to take along is a smoke or smoke/red flake Fat Albert grub on a ¼ ounce plain lead head. Work the channel ledges and look for the areas that have the best cover on them. Also take some of the Zoom finesse worms in the smoke and purple colors.
