LAKE SINCLAIR IS FULL, 59 DEGREES, LIGHT STAIN UP RIVER, MAIN LAKE CLEAR

Bass fishing is good on Lake Sinclair. Fall and winter patterns are both working right now all over the lake. You can find fish both shallow and deep right now but the shallow bite seems to be best. A shallow to medium diving crank bait like the Spro Little John 50 and Little John 50MD will catch the aggressive fish that are hanging around main lake and secondary points containing rock and stumps. A Spro McStick jerk bait in shad imitating colors will also catch some of these shallow fish when the wind is blowing. Another good pattern right now is fishing brushy docks in 5 to 9 feet of water with a Buckeye Mop jig in a brown or green pumpkin color. On days when they don’t eat or just short strike the jig, switch to a Buckeye spot remover shaky head with a green pumpkin Zoom trick worm or baby brush hog and fish these same docks. The shaky head will get a lot of bites on the tough days. The deep fish are starting to school up on their wintertime haunts in 17 30ft of water. Use your Lowrance HDS structure scan electronics to find the bait pods and schools of fish around the mouths of creeks in the middle to lower sections of the lake. These fish can be caught on a spoon or drop shot rig fishing them vertically below your boat. Many times you know when the fish is about to bite because you can watch them follow your lure on the graph. I like to call this video game fishing because you are literally watching everything happen on your electronics.
