I got back to the water this past week, and much to my surprise we did real well fishing along grass lines, the bass were stacked more in transition areas and allowed you to fish back side transition spots all over the lake. The warming trend certainly helped you find the fish a little easier than the past cold week did.


I spent most of my days working SPRO jerk baits and slow moving football jigs from Tight-Line jigs rigged with Missile bait D-Bombs as trailers. As typical water current was everything and if you hit them pulling current you had great results. The lake has certain areas that the bait fish keeps thickening and when you found the gobs of bait fish you found the bass.


I will be on the water some over the next month through the Christmas holidays, and look forward to some great winter fishing, as winter time is all about big fish and nothing excites me more.
