River has been up pretty big big for the last couple months, but for the past two weeks, at the ramp here in Burkesville, it's been about half way down on it, gravle bars are...not wadeable, or nothing like that...gravel bars are probably waist deep. It's a real good green color, clear, and just what we needed. Hopefully to have a good white bass and sauger run maybe in end of Feb on sauger and white bass maybe March. Last year, as I think everybody knows they were filling the **** back up and screwed everything up on the white bass and sauger front. But the river's back to normal for all year long.
Had two guys come in a few days ago that had a 26" brown trouth. Took some pictures of it and released it. Real good brown, I'd say 9 or 10lbs. They said they probably caught 30 rainbows and browns combined. About the only people I know who've been on the river the last month or so due to the weather being cold and the river being up.
It has been down the last couple weeks, so looking for a real good spring as soon as the weather cooperates and we can get back to some real good fishin!
