Adam and I took a few days off during the Holidays and certainly enjoyed all the Family, Food and Fun that comes our way this time of year! We actually had several Fishing Trips scheduled but the Cold and (Much Needed) Rain caused us to cancel every one of the trips between Christmas and New Years. We also lost one of our BEST FISHING PARTNERS as my Dad who was 90 years young passed on and is now up there where the fish always bite! We'll certainly miss PAPA but he had a long and good life!
The attached picture was taken in mid December and is of some of my VERY BEST Customers who have been fishing with us for almost 15 years! Esther Williams and friends live in Ft. Worth and fish with us a couple of times every year. Normally, we're fishing for White Bass or Crappie, but they wanted to do some Wintertime Catfishing and we loaded the box with nice Blues and Channels! I know lots of us use the Winter Cold as an excuse for not fishing, but Esther who is a very young 83 years old and acts like a 38 year old, fishes year around. Notice that she does dress for the occasion with the hooded fur coat she bought from an Eskimo!
The Catfish will continue to be on a good bite most days all Winter and into early Spring! If you tend to get Cabin Fever like I do, watch the Weather Forecast and look for a nice day. Then give us a call even if it's short notice and We'll Go Catch Some Fish!
