Bass fishing is good. There is a good top water bite early on frogs, buzz baits, poppers and Zoom Horny Toads. After the top water bite dies, flipping a Zoom Old Monster or Super Hog is the ticket. Concentrate on grass adjacent to deeper water. The presence of baitfish is the key. Look for those ingredients and you should find a concentration of fish. A secondary pattern has been fishing some of the shallower ledges in 8 feet to 12 feet of water. The bass are very scattered but if you find a school of fish, they will eat Fat Free Shad crank baits and Zoom plastics like the 6 inch lizard fished on a Carolina rig.
