Winter is here and the bite is starting to slow some with the cold temperatures. The east end water temps vary from 42-45 degrees with cloudy water from the recent rain. West end temperatures vary from 44-48 degrees depending on where you are, and very clear waters.
I have seen bait and fish as deep as 80 feet recently and as shallow as 20 feet. You really have to cover the water with your presentations right now.
Good size has been a challenge to harvest most days but small baits will work fine all winter and are a lot easier to get. Flingers are **** rods are still producing fish but bottom fishing near the river channel is producing nice limits as well.
Good luck to all and good fishing.
